Miscellaneous : Yoko Yamasaki
Hello American penpals, this is Yoko.
The weather is getting cooler here in Sendai and a beautiful
autumn has started in Japan.
I know Minnesota is noted of beautiful tinted autumn leaves,
and in Sendai, the best time of autumn tint is about the end
of October.
I apologize for my slow response to the messages sent
from American penpals.
Fran,
I sincerely appreciate to receive your personal mail.
I read your Enblish mail by using a dictionary, but
I am unable to directly respond you in English due to
my limitted capacity. So I express my grateful regards
here in this program. As being able to take spare time
in the New Year Holiday season, I will practice to write
mails in English.
Bernie,
We are exactly pleased at your trip report to Italy.
Even in the translated-in-Japanese report, we can
understand how you enjoyed the trip.
The translation is being done well by Ms. Kadowaki,
one of the SCNS member.
Jean,
Thank you very much for individual messages for our
Japanese penpals one by one.
Well, I represent a group of "Computer Salon" of SCNS.
We have 33 members, half of them are women. I arrange
the regular meeting twice a month, and manage to carry
the meeting as frankly and actively as possible.
Also, we have computer classes for seniors two days
a week ( 4 classes), and I am coaching 2 classes.
The above activities are all done by volunteers.
The Computer Saron group is sustained by 32 capable
people like Ms. Kadowaki.
I used to love a relaxing life style as reading books
and doing houseworks. But, after learning computer,
my life seems to get busy and busy.
By the way, I have a web site created by myself.
The web includes some pages of information offering
and essays related to senior society.
Please let us know the URL of the web sites if you all
have so that I can challenge to understand it (them)
even written in English.
I think this gets longer than expected.
I will close for now. Yoko
