Getting to Know You! : Jane Stamm Hello, My name is Jane Stamm. I am 65 years old and I was married for 40 years. I am now single and I am still working. I work as a clerk in a Wal-Mart Store. This summer I took a leave-of-absence so that I could care for my two granddaughers in the state of Texas while their parents work. I live in Pennsylavania and I have 2 more granddaughters and 2 grandsons there. I will be going home in about 3 weeks. I like to walk, sometimes ride a bicycle, go camping and spend time with my family. I also sew and knit and I love to travel and meet people and make new friends. I discovered the Internet about 1 and a half years ago and I am enjoying learning how to use it. I've made some new friends through the internet. I have been able to meet some of them face to face and I hope to meet lots more of them. If that is not possible, I will still enjoy meeting them this way. I live in a small town in an area that is mostly farm land but there is a very good college there and there is also some other industry in the county. Let me know what you would like to know about my country and about me and please tell me about your country. I have two young friends who visited Japan as Exchange Students and both have gone back to visit and teach after their graduations. My church also has a companion diocese in Japan. It is the Diocese of North Kanto. I'm not sure where that is but we pray for them regularly and they pray for us. I'm anticipating a letter from Japan. Please write soon. Sincerely, Jane W.
