To everyone in the new world. : Ms. Mutsmi Kobayashi

Everyone, how do you do ?

This is Ms. Mutsumi Kobayashi, a member of Sendai Citizens' Network for Seniors (SCNS).
I am very happy to start the Internet communication with American penpals on the Star Festival day of July 7th.
It is said in a legend the Weaver Star (Vega) and the Cowherd Star (Altair) are allowed to meet across the Milky Way only once a year at night of the July 7th. But we can always communicate each other by e-mail from now on.
How wonderful it is !

I am a volunteer of managing a SCNS facility, named the "Salon Waiwai (cheerful salon)" similar to the U.S. senior centers.
As to the Salon Waiwai, I will introduce its activities in detail later.

My family consists of four. Two daughters live in Tokyo self-independently, and I live with my husband in Natori City (60,000 population) located in the neighborhood of Sendai City.
Though my house is as small as 125 ‡u in size, it is situated at a height of 200m above sea level, and brings us the mood of a villa.

I love classical musics, and the "From the New World" composed by Antonin Dvorak is one of my favorite sy‚¨phonies.
At the time when he lived in America and he was so active in his work, the American continent was called as the New World against the Europe due to its rapid development.

I am very excited just like going to the new world about communicating with American penpals by e-mail since I am not good in English.
Through this communication exchange, I wish to get comfortable feeling as if playing the 2nd movement of the sy‚¨phony by the English horn.

Bye now.
